We are a Charity, inspiring people with disabilities and long term health issues to discover their creative energy and build self-confidence through art.

Working at their own pace in supportive groups, our members find both relaxation and fresh stimulus, along with the opportunity to make new friends.

Your few hours a week could make a real difference to people's lives. We are seeking volunteers to open and support our new Cobham art group. Not every volunteer needs artistic ability, but you do need to be a people person, enthusiastic, and ready to help create a friendly, welcoming environment where members feel relaxed and able to make the most of their time with us.

As a volunteer you will be part of a team. A good team includes a group leader who will be the main contact between Head Office and the group. The team will consist of volunteers who are good at organising, arty, good with money and can make refreshements. Volunteers are the people who make Conquest Art possible.

Could you join the Cobham team?

Conquest Art volunteers can rely on the support and encouragement of the Trustees and Charity Co-ordinator.

The group is starting on Wednesday, 4th November 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00noon at the Cobham Community Hub.

What skills do I need?

The organisation requires people who have:

*The ability to organise small groups in a positive and relaxed atmosphere
*Experience and empathy with disabled people is desirable
*Reliability, enthusiasm and commitment
*Artistic, crafting and creative knowledge is not essential but will be useful
*Setting up and clearing away each week
*Helping during the session with art materials, guidance and artistic ideas
*Long term commitment
